Palianytsia
2026
Originally describing a traditional Ukrainian hearth baked bread, the word Palianytsia became a shibboleth to test and identify Russian speakers. Their inability to pronounce the word correctly has turned into a widespread internet meme. It has since been adopted as the official name of a Ukrainian turbojet drone missile system.
